MULTI-YEAR ACCESSIBILITY PLAN

Background & Purpose:

Septimatech is committed to ensure that persons with disabilities have a barrier free work environment that respects their dignity, independence and ensures equal opportunity and integration in all areas of the business including but not limited to customer service and employment. To this end, the Company has developed corporate policies and an action plan aimed at meeting the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR). Copies of customer service, health and safety and human resource policies are available in accessible format upon request. A copy of this plan has been posted on the website and updated as the implementation progresses, however, no less than every five years.

Any corporate policies that do not respect the dignity and independence of people with disabilities will be modified or eliminated.

Transparency:

As of December 1st, 2014 the Accessibility Plan will be posted on the Septimatech website. The Accessibility Plan will be provided to any member of the public in a hardcopy, electronic or other Accessible Format upon request.

IASR requirements that apply to Septimatech are:

  • Customer Service;
  • Training;
  • Information and Communications;
  • Employment; and
  • Design of Public Spaces

Customer Service:

The Company has established a “Customer Service Policy” and feedback process which is available by contacting the Human Resource Department. To this end, Septimatech has developed an Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Policy and a Visitors’ Policy (collectively Customer Service Policy). These documents, or information contained in the documents, will be provided upon request to a person with a disability in a format that takes the person’s disability into account.

Documentation:

Septimatech Group Inc. reserves the right to request reasonable medical documentation to support a need for accommodation or an accessibility request under this Accessibility Plan.

Training:

Septimatech has incorporated training with respect to the accessibility standards referred to in the Integrated Accessibility Standard Regulation and the Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities, as required by the Act and Regulations into the company’s orientation training and hiring practice. All existing employees have been trained. Training records are maintained as part of individual employee’s mandatory training documentation.

Training will be updated as required by the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

Information and Communication:

All company information and feedback will be provided upon request in accessible formats including but not limited to large print, audio or electronic formats or braille.

Septimatech will ensure all internet websites etc. have content conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level A and increasing to Level AA as per the IASR requirements by January 1, 2021.

Employment:

Septimatech will notify the public and employees that accommodation for people with disabilities is available during the recruitment, assessment and hiring process and at any time during the employment relationship.

Individualized emergency response information will be provided to employees with disabilities as is necessary or when the Company has been made aware of the need for such accommodation.
